Transport at the university of derby – buxton

The University of Derby – Buxton provide several term time bus routes to enable students to access campus. Reasons to use our transport:
- Safe and secure environment to travel for anyone feeling nervous about joining college
- Opportunities to socialise and make friends with other students
- Drivers are DBS checked
- The college can help address queries directly with the bus companies
- Payment plan option available
Please complete a bus pass application form before September 1st. The form can be found on the Transport page on our website.

Buses run term time only, Monday to Friday.

- Bus Route 3 (Blythe Bridge to Leek & Buxton)
- Bus Route 4 (Bolsover to Buxton)
- Bus Route 5 (Leek to Buxton)
- Bus Route 8 (Littleover to Buxton)
- Bus Route 12 (Hathersage to Buxton)

Apply for a bus pass
All new and returning University of Derby – Buxton students will need to complete a bus pass application form to obtain a bus pass. (the bus pass application form for 2026/27 will be available soon)
If you are under 18 years old, you may need support and information from your parent or guardian to complete this form.
