This course is aimed at adults who may be new to a team leading role, or looking to gain further skills in order to increase their career prospects. This online programme is ideal if you need a flexible training solution that fits with your work schedule and lifestyle.

The aim of this Level 2 Principles of Team Leading course is to develop your skills and understanding relevant to being a team leader. This course is split into eight manageable units:

1. Principles of team leading
2. Understand business
3. Understand how to communicate work-related information
4. Understand how to manage performance and conflict in the workplace
5. Principles of equality and diversity in the workplace
6. Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues
7. Understand health and safety procedures in the workplace
8. Understand how to develop and deliver a presentation

Since this is an online course, you can choose when and where you study. Your assessor will ensure you get all the support you need to complete the course; however, you will need to be self-motivated and able to work against the pressures of studying independently. You will be expected to complete reading and research to support your learning and will find it useful to be able to engage with IT resources, including internet, email and Microsoft Teams.

This qualification will enable you to further your continuous professional development (CPD) giving you the confidence to continue in your current employment and the ability to improve your career prospects.

You may wish to enhance your employability by completing further training related to this qualification such as:

• Level 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques
• Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration
• Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Principles of Customer Service.

To pass this qualification you must complete a series of questions at the end of each unit. These will be internally assessed by your tutor as a pass or refer. A refer means you will need to re-do the question and there is no limit on the number of refers.

You must be aged 19 or over and have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent.
