Some of UOD – Buxton’s students have been engaging in a Healthy Living Project to aid their development outside of college. Below you can see some of UOD – Buxton’s Step Up to Independence students making pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day.
Jayne Jeffries, an Education Support Worker at UOD – Buxton says, “since beginning the project, the learner’s confidence in cooking and their communication skills have improved massively, and its lovely to see them all growing.”
Alongside pancakes, the students have also been learning how to make a healthy fruit salad – all adding to the skills they’ll be using in day-to-day life and increasing their knowledge of how to live a healthy lifestyle.
