There have been a number of charity fundraisers across the College over the last month.
Students based at the Leek campus have recently worked with the Raise & Give club, organised by the Union of students and Enrichment team for a six week period. They organised a sponsored charity walk around Tittesworth reservoir. Money raised went to the Help for Heroes and Shelter.
2nd year Outdoor Sports students raised £85 for MIND by running a climbing wall event at Tideswell Primary School.
Level 3 Business students organised a charity fundraiser in the Devonshire Dome. They managed to secure a host of sponsored prizes from local businesses to raffle off as part of a tombola. The grand total raised was £261, which was split between three charities: Cancer Research UK, DEBRA and Christies NHS Foundation Trust.
Coming up the College has two planned events for Comic Relief: on 15TH March there will be a charity football tournament with Staff and students going “foot to foot” against each other for a good cause; please support the event by donating here. Whilst “What a Relief”, a chance for everyone to join in fun and games will also raise money for Comic Relief (20 March, The Hub Leek).
